MVS scholar announcedAugust 29, 2005 David S. Atkinson, a third-year law student at Creighton University, has been selected to receive a $500 scholarship from the law firm of McKee, Voorhees & Sease. The scholarship is an endowment made, in part, on behalf of Creighton alum, James Holmberg. The scholarship is offered annually to Creighton students pursuing law careers in intellectual property.A native of Omaha, Atkinson is involved in the Creighton Law Review, the 2005-2006 International Moot Court Board, Phi Delta Phi, Sports and Entertainment Law Society and Intellectual Property Law Society. He has passed the patent bar and recently completed a summer clerkship with Stinson Morrison Hecker of Kansas City.He is the son of Greg Atkinson of Omaha and Kathleen Atkinson of Seattle, Wash.
