MVS Sponsors Books & Bricks for Belize FundraiserJune 24, 2017

MVS sponsored the Books & Bricks for Belize fundraising event hosted by the James Arthur Albert Foundation. The fundraiser aimed to raise funds to help children in Belize go to high school, build classrooms,and provide school supplies. The event this week raised more than $90,000 to support children in Belize.

These scholarships go to children who dream of going to high school, but whose families struggle to find the $200.00 it costs for books to attend school for a year. And these scholarships go to children who need shoes and uniforms to walk through the front door of a high school.

The organization been fighting for these children for just six years. In 2015, one of the scholarship recipients walked out of the big high school there – as Valedictorian! And in his speech to the whole town, he thanked this Foundation for believing in him.
