Vanessa Lancaster Joins McKee, Voorhees & Sease, PLCMay 1, 2024

Patent attorney Vanessa Lancaster, Ph.D., has joined McKee, Voorhees & Sease, PLC as senior counsel in the Chemical and Biotech Practice Group.

She brings 15 years of legal experience to the premier Midwest boutique Intellectual Property law firm located in Des Moines, Iowa. Vanessa’s experience includes Intellectual Property counseling for U.S.-based and international clients; experience in patent and trademark preparation and prosecution; maintenance of federal trademark registrations; enforcement of trademark rights; contracts related to Intellectual Property and business development; among other experience.

Vanessa earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Arizona State University (2003) after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside (1998). Vanessa received a law degree from the Arizona State University College of Law (2009). She was an editor for Jurimetrics Journal, a scholarly publication produced by the American Bar Association (ABA) Science & Technology Law Section and the Center for Law, Science & Innovation at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Arizona State University.
