Vanessa is a registered Patent Attorney with over 14 years’ experience prosecuting domestic and foreign patents in all areas of the life sciences including medical and agricultural technologies such as transgenic microorganisms, transgenic plants, agbiotech, vaccines, organoids, drug delivery, disease detection, and pharmaceuticals.
Vanessa is experienced in representing university clients, venture-backed start-up companies, and corporations. Vanessa provides patentability and freedom-to-operate searches and opinions for an efficient and business-goal focused approach to patent portfolio growth and prosecution.
Vanessa earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside, and her Ph.D. in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry from Arizona State University. Vanessa graduated with her law degree from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Arizona State University, and has been a licensed attorney since 2009.
